Because the sales director and the finance director were both in the office next door to mine, today was a little subdued. Restrained maybe. I got quite a bit done, but not nearly as much as I half intended to do. Just things occurring what I'd not planned.

Not to come over as a big homophobe, but I still don't understand what it's all about w.r.t. what I was saying about Biggins being a big queer bastard, and the whole 'camp' thing. I mean, I've no prob with the fact some boys like other boys (and the same for ladies loving ladies, and bicycles and all that) it's just the whole wrapped up package with some gay folks where they're sorta confirming a nagative stereotype by conforming to the whole queen thing.

On one hand I see the point of gays rightfully complaining they should be free to behave how they like (and yes, I know I'm drawing untrue broad brush assumptions by using the term 'gays' to mean 'camp gays' there) and not have to conform to some macho stereotype of what a 'man' should behave like, but.. isn't the more important part of sexuality and LGBT rights etc. about acceptance of peeps being attracted to and loving in a non-heterosexual manner? Not about a 'carte blanche' to annoy the fuck out of me by being overly camp (just as overly girly girls annoy me) with the counterargument "you're just a homophobe!" ready to wield if criticism is levelled at them?

Arsenal 4-0 Cardiff in the remaining FA Cup replay from the round before. Arsenal now play Burnley for the right to meet Sheff United or Hull.

I've got a goatee this week. How very stupid it makes me look. No-one commented on it at work, actually, which I suppose probably reflects the fact I sometimes don't shave much during the week so am routinely a little stubbley by Friday anyhow.

Y'all be thrilled to hear I have finished my virus book last night. I've not started anything else yet, but will move onto something fictional soon. The virsu book was good - interesting indeed, even if it lost some of it's speed towards the end., and failed to hold my interest as much as it did to start with.

Collingwood got a century, Pietersen a fifty, and Broad n Prior weighed in with 40ish each, as England declared on 560ish, before putting the Windies in for an awkward hour that saw them reach 55/1.

I was going to (admittedly jokingly) write about how I have found a new object of my affections (ooh, lucky her!). Y'know how a few weeks/months back I mayb have mentioned a woman who works at my local train station, and how I was pseudo-enamoured with her - but had to give up on her because a) she's married, and b) her name is the female version of mine (e.g. Paul and Paula, Steven and Stephanie etc. - all too twee to consider bethrothal). Well there's a train manager lady on one of the trains I sometimes get home from work who is kinda cute.

She's overly chirpy and polite, perchance (esp. considering I usually see her when I am knackered from a long day at work myself) - but I suppose that goes with the job description to some extent.

She is tolerable; but not handsome enough to tempt me. Ho ho ho - that's bollocks. I am so rude - especially when I'm far from certain I am anything of a catch myself in all probability, and would prob have no chance with her. Anyhow, she said a cheery "See you later, sir!" to me and smiled as I got off the train this evening - good customer service costs nothing. Plus, I've ascertained her name, and it isn't one which 'clashes' with mine :-)

Another random attractive young lady smiled at me this evening whilst I was walking home. OK, I was leaning on a wall resting my 'plastic-baghandle'-stressed hands when she walked past and smiled at me unprovoked (I probably had a blank expression, perchance marked with the slightest tinge of knackered/painedness?). It cheered me up anyhow, random as it was.

Lordy lordy lordy lordy Heather Nova is/was mighty mighty gorgeous. Just been watching her videos for 'Walk This World' and 'London Rain' on YouTube. I might have to download her album 'Oyster' as I've heardly heard it. Think she's got a new one out too.

Mmmm.. if it wasn't so late, I'd pick five of Stepfordtart's questions and do my interview, but I've no time at the moment. DO remind me though.

LISTENING TO:- Robyn 'Who's That Girl' Seamus Haji remix. Which is a pretty fecking nice remix, even if I do say so myself :-)
