song. It is a model sparrow made of teaspoons and washing powder

Not that I am denying that the test match is
most likely to be a draw, after a flat pitch and excellent batting by
the West Indians. Sarwan was out for 291, Ramdin got his maiden test
hundred, and they declared on 749.
I'm reading Will Self 'Liver', and it's very
interesting - though I'm not sure I'd say it was a great book or
owt. Too much of the time I am struggling a little with the
sophisticated language, and am distracted by the 'voice' of the author
in my head, as if he was narrating it. There's an extent to which the
book suffers from not having enough characters which you like (or even
care about), and some of the twists so far have lacked credibility. But
I'll persevere.
In the league today, a few goals, but a mixed
bag w.r.t. how Middlesboro' followers like myself are concerned.
Blackburn had a win against Hull (2-1 at the KC) and hence leapfrog
Boro, forcing the North Easterners into eighteenth by three p.m.
Newcastle lost 1-0 to Bolton, however, so are still in the bottom six,
and West Ham beat Manchester City by the lone goal of the game.
The later game between Villa and Stoke ended
2-2, with Stoke getting two goals in the last three minutes of the game
(which pissed me off a little!) The Carling Cup final ended 0-0 between
Tottenham and Man United, but United won on penalties.
I don't feel that I've made enough of my weekend
w.r.t. recouperation. I've had an OK, enjoyable enough time, but I'm
feeling a bit tired and under the weather. Perhaps that's partly 'cause
I worked for a few hours yesterday hence have missed out on some sleep
time, or maybe I'm actually a little ill. Who knows - I've a headache
and the beginnings of a cold anyhow.
