I value your punt, my piscine pal.

Wednesday, Mar. 11, 2009 - 22:48

Back to work today, my cold having worked it's way through to the crusty-nosed bunged-up stage. The day at work wasn't wonderful (bit quiet and I've made some fuck-ups I think, though peeps haven't had a go at me for it) but it was not too bad either.

Bad dream last night actually. I'd write more about it, but I'm somewaht disturbed by some of it (tall ginger coworker man finding he was a father, goggles that allow you to fly over the surface of The Death Star, then myself and Samantha Janus being forced by the Nazis to kill a load of schoolkids in a classroom).

On that latter point, a bit odd, 'cause it occurred before I knew about (hell, before it happened) the shootings in a school in the south of Germany today. Spooky co-incidence forsure. The dream was somewhat disturbing anyhow.

In the Champions League quarter-finals, Man United joined the other teams in the last eight by beating Inter Milan 2-0 at Old Trafford. Barcelona won 5-2 at Lyon (the aggregate score was hence 6-3) and Porto progressed on away goals by virtue of their 0-0 draw with Atletico Madrid tonight, after drawing 2-2 in Spain t'other week. The Roma vrs Arsenal game ended 1-0 to the Italians and hence went to extra time and penalties, where Arsenal triumphed 7-6.

Not a bad showing from the English teams, with all four through to the last eight! The other nationalities represented are Bayern Munich for the German League, Barcelona and Villareal for the Spanish Primera, and Porto for Portugal.

Bum-poo, in that Blackburn came from behind to beat Fulham 2-1 at Craven Cottage. Pompey sink into the bottom three, and Middlesboro' play the south coast team at the weekend. A 'six-pointer' if ever there was one. I have a bad feeling about this season - all campaign they've played well but failed to pick up enough points. Not been putting the ball into the back of the net, alas.

LISTENING TO:- Vetiver 'Thing of the Past', which is very pleasant. I saw the new album reviewed in my morning Metro on Monday, and decided to give some older stuff by the same peep(s) a punt.

Look, I never said this would be interesting. I'm still iller than I thought I was - it's been a nothing day (woke, dressed and readied, to work, did work, left work, did grocery shopping, came home, had dinner, listened to the radio, went to bed) and I have nothing much to say.
