Slept in, but was woken at ten-twenty (ish) by the phone ringing. Though it was just some bloke trying to sell me a credit card, he was polite when I said I wasn't interested, and I was glad that I was made to get up at a semi-sensible time.

I wasn't glad, however, when my cold and a tired/weak dopeyness took over me this afternoon, with the result that I slept through most of the rugby on tv and footy commentary on the radio. Wales and Ireland both won their matches (against Italy and Scotland) to set up a decider next week, though neither were at all convincing.

Bought a fuckload of CDs online today, including ones by such bands as Aimee Mann, Stone Temple Pilots, The Bluetones, Filter, Gram Parsons, Stabbing Westward and Suzanne Vega. Should be good when they come in a couple of weeks :-)

I've got little to say. I'd hoped to spend the afternoon joyfully typing up audits whilst sat cross-legged on my bed watching rugby, but.. I was under the covers asleep and got nowt done. Let's hope I'm less floopy tomorrow.

LISTENING TO:- 'Joey' By Concrete Blonde. Am I being dumb, but doesn't she/they sound very much like Grace Slick (from Jefferson Airplane) and/or Linda Perry from 4 Non Blondes? It's a beautiful tune anyhow.

Feckadoodledoo, I've just been watching some other Concrete Blonde videos online, and Johnette Napolitano is rather impressive, whatsay! That contralto voice, plus the fact she's (/was) rather gorgeous. Even if her nose is a bit oddly 'Lisa Scott-Lee', which makes me suspect surgery.

Footballwise, Man Utd 1-4 Liverpool - which breathes new life into the title race. Middlesbro got a last minute equaliser against Pompey, and should be happy as they had been reduced to ten men with half an hour left. They still look like they'll be relegated, though :-( Arsenal beat Blackburn, Everton beat Stoke, Fulham beat Bolton, and Wigan beat Sunderland. Hull and Newcastle drew, so it's still tight down there.

Now, I'm not a Liverpool supporter, and I think that Man United have forsure played some of the best football this year (and very much deserve to win the league) but it's nice to have upsets and stuff, and I think Alex Ferguson is a cunt, so isn't this just a thing of beauty?
