So who can banish the Godspunk?

Tuesday, Apr. 14, 2009 - 19:08

This is what I wrote on Monday, before the 'puter went "blop!"

This Easter weekend I've eaten NO EGGS! No chocolate ones, and no real ones either (well, I might have eaten some egg in something like the pastry on a pie or a cake or something, but.. no eggs per se). I did have a couple of cream eggs last week at work, but none since Thursday :-)

Worryingly, last night I sat up and watched the last few holes and the play-off of the US Masters golf. Lot of fat middle-aged men in casual sportswear pratting about in an over-sculpted country setting, but it was interesting all the same. I might dig out my Tiger Woods xbox game and have a play.. not that I can remember properly how to play it :-)

This arvo listened to Radio 2 doing a countdown of the top 75 songs according to how often they've been played (according to the peeps who compile stats on play counts for the purpose of royalties etc.), including radio, nightclub, shop etc. all public performances.

As annoying as Rob Brydon, the presenter of the show, was.. it was quite interesting. Quite intreguing, with the top ten including predictable stuff like Wet Wet Wet, Bryan Adams, Robbie Williams and Queen, but also Bing Crosby, Perry Como, The Everly Bros and (number one) Procul Harem 'Whiter Shade of Pale'.

Full programme of Coca-Cola league games today, with a few important results as far as squeaky bum time of year is shaping up. Wolves came from behind with twenty minutes to go, to beat Derby 3-2 at Pride Park - look odds on to come up. Birmingham, Sheff United and Reading all drew, hence.. well.. it's tight up there.
