Trevor Francis washing up liquid betrothal

Monday, May. 18, 2009 - 23:00

A short entry, just because I can. Oh, and because I have got home, fed and chilled before midnight so thought I'd make the effort to write a few words (as I'm surely going to have little time to do so till Friday).

Sunderland lost 3-1 at Portsmouth and are hence not yet safe. Nevertheless it looks most likely that Newcastle or Hull will Join Boro and West Brom in the division below. In the cricket, England wrapped up the series 2-0 by bowling the Windies out for under two hundred as they followed on.

Laughed heartily this evening at a scene in Peep Show where Mark has been raped and is telling Super Hans that it wasn't bum rape. I know rape per se isn't funny, but 'bum' is a funny word. I mean, 'bum genocide' sounds almost fun. Though it could involve killing hobos, I guess.

Work far from good. Close to the audit with still quite a lot to do, I can't escape the feeling that I've forgotten some big important thing in between trying to sort all the trivial things. There's still more being piled on me that I can sucessfully get rid of (by fixing or delegating) and I lost my rag with some of the lab staff this afternoon when they were showing a distinct lack of initiative and responsibility.

I like the Manics tune 'Jackie Collins Existential Question Time', and might buy the album.

LISTENING TO:- tunes that stood out for me today included 'Communication' by The Cardigans, 'Listen to Your Heart' by Roxette and..

.. you will NEVER KNOW. MWA-HA-HA-HAAA!!!
