I do not support the Post Office strike.

Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009 - 21:59

Thankfully, as hinted in yesterday's comments, I woke up feeling quite a bit better. Far from 'right' again (as demonstrated by the amount of today that I spent sitting on benches feeling spaced out), but well enough to traipse over and see a couple of places.

First place was a nice little modern terraced house, and the sort of thing I am looking for. Convenient for work too. I'm going to make an enquiry/application. Being a pessimist, I reckon it'll have gone by the time I apply. The second place I saw this arvo was OK - outside of the building is shoddy but the flat is new and smart.

Apart from that, spent the day twiddling my thumbs in town. Boring at times, too tired to do 'owt at times, got a book (John O'Farrell 'May Contain Nuts') and a DVD (the 'Three Colours' trilogy, for fifteen quid).

It pissed it down on the train home. I didn't do much in the evening, as despite being on the mend, I'm still feeling shitty. Lashed out a bit at my mother on the phone, lashed out a bit at an ex workmate on Farcebook who was being trite and dumb and simple.

Watched a bit of footy on the TV - in the Europa League this evening Everton were dicked 5-0 by Benfica (injury crisis, admittedly), Fulham looked like they'd beat Roma, but in the end drew 1-1 with a late equaliser (though stay unbeaten and look reasonably well placed), and Hamburg won 1-0 at Celtic (leaving the Scots team somewhat adrift in their group).

Whilst trying to find train times this evening, I ended up flirting with the animated online assistant Lisa. I'm very much 'not right' (whether I'm ill or well!)
